Lumi is designed to keep expense data close to you.

This policy explains what Lumi collects, where it is stored, how it is used, and the privacy choices you have when using the app.

You can edit or delete data in the app, or delete the app to remove its local data.

1. Scope

This privacy policy applies to Lumi, an iOS app for tracking personal expenses in one setup currency. Lumi focuses on expenses, recurring payments, fixed-installment loans, current-month reports, and local due-date reminders.

2. Data you enter into Lumi

When you use Lumi, the app may store information you enter, including:

  • Expenses: amount, date, category, payment method, and note.
  • Recurring payments: service name, amount, cycle, due date, and payment status.
  • Fixed-installment loans: loan name, installment amount, installment count, and due date.
  • App preferences: language, display name, and notification reminder state if you enable it.

Lumi does not require a user account for MVP and does not ask you to enter bank information, bank passwords, or payment card numbers.

3. Where data is stored

App data is stored locally on iPhone using iOS storage. Lumi does not include server synchronization in MVP and does not send your expense data to Lumi servers.

If you enable device backups or iCloud Backup at the system level, iOS may handle app data according to Apple's backup settings. Lumi does not control those system backups.

4. How Lumi uses data

Data in Lumi is used to provide core features:

  • Show expense lists and current-month spending totals.
  • Create reports by category and payment method.
  • Track recurring payments and fixed-installment loans.
  • Create simple insights from local rules only.
  • Schedule local notifications for upcoming due dates when you allow them.

5. Notifications

Lumi asks for notification permission only when you create or enable reminders for a recurring payment. Notifications are used to remind you about subscription or loan due dates. You can turn notification permission off at any time in iOS Settings.

6. Sharing data with third parties

Lumi does not sell your personal data. The MVP does not integrate ads, tracking networks, third-party behavior analytics, server uploads, networks for posting to other people, or community features.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Lumi Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Lumi does not collect or store your payment card details. Apple may process purchase and subscription information according to Apple’s privacy policy.

8. Your choices and control

  • You can edit or delete expenses and recurring payments in the app.
  • You can turn notifications off in iOS Settings.
  • You can delete Lumi from your device to remove that app's local data from the device.

9. Children

Lumi is not designed for children and does not knowingly collect children's personal data.

10. Policy changes

When Lumi changes how it handles data or adds new features that affect privacy, this policy will be updated. The latest update date is always shown at the top of the page.
